the weekly random.

observations from the past two days -

- a girl with freakishly long toes. they were half her foot.

- dietetics majors often don't finish their dessert.

- people think i can't hear when my earbuds are in and feel comfortable talking about my shoes.(luckily the comments were favorable)

- a guy watching He-Man on his iPod. Before class. On his speaker dock. (so all could enjoy)

- it takes me an inordinary amount of time to pick a place to eat.

- amy poehler makes my life.

- ice-cream is better when it's free.

- small children like walking through fountains in rain boots.

- i can fall asleep while reading an italian menu.

shacks and shins.

it has been my recent experience that certain people aren't quite as excited for summer as me. especially when that person happens to be driving, and misinterprets a scream of delight at the first sno shack of the season, as a warning of impending doom. sigh. some people just have no joy in their lives.

also. rolling chairs are the bane of my existence. they are the only available seating in abnormal psych, and i, without fail, roll over my backpack strap every single day. i somehow manage to forget this by the end of class and in my haste to leave the third floor of the engineering building, violently yank my backpack and almost take out my shin with the now-mobile chair. this tends to create a jam in the after class traffic, and now no one wants to sit by me.

i'm so glad school is almost over.

in the summertime...

this summer i promise to:

  • not fall asleep every monday, wednesday, and friday during my 7:30 stats class
  • read all the books i bought from the d.i. this year
  • buy rollerskates
  • become kick-a at remembering and pronouncing italian menu items
  • make my own skirt
  • make tri-weekly trips to the sno-cone shack (hopefully with one brittany mangelson)
  • take more pictures
  • paint my nails a color other than red

it happened.

after this first post on my very own blog i will be forced to go and get the word 'hypocrite' stamped on my forehead. (are there specialty stores where one can purchase such a stamp? is this something i have to order? i possibly should have looked into this more before taking such a plunge...) i have re-evaluated, and realized that though i have previously stated that i would never have a blog, my need is very real. where else can i publish the various lists i make in my head on an almost daily basis? on what other forum can i so quickly and easily let my random out into the universe? if nothing else, this will forever immortalize me in internet history, so decades from now members of society can look back and say, "wow. that girl was crazy."

oh man. i just realized the button on the right of my background says cute. this may have been too much, too fast....
