March in Review

March has come and gone. And I'm not feeling wordy. Here's what went down.

- The weather continued to be unseasonably wonderful. Thusly, we made several outings to our favorite parks. I can talk about how much I like liberty park for days, but it's the greatest.

- We moved Norah out of our room. She slept great the first night and I was a wreck. Motherhood.

- We went to a new record store (so-so) and a new indian place (pretty ok).

- We had a day-date while my parents watched Norah and went for a easy hike on the bonneville shoreline trail. We got back and got to enjoy a detailed play by play of Norah's day and then we all ate at Rodizio grill. Dates! Hikes! Meat! A good day all around.

- We had an impromptu movie pizza night with some friends. Also there were oreos. (I know, I know. Our life is crazy as hell.)

- After two and a half years of marriage, we finally opened a joint checking account. Procrastinators unite!

- I fulfilled a lifelong (lifelong is probably pushing it. let's say an senior year in high school) goal to get my nose pierced.

I took a quick picture to send to Brian at work and holy crap it was adorable! That kid..
Enjoying a mall trip.
We still have cats. And they are not helpful with unpacking.
I love it when she looks like a real person.
A baby and some graffiti.

I can't. I can't even.

These two really like each other.

There are 30 more of these.

February in Review

Most of February was spent packing and moving and packing and cleaning and moving the rest of our crap. It gets said about moving over and over, but seriously, somehow the last load of stuff from an apartment turns into 10 loads. The worst.

A couple other things we did this month are...

We had a baby blessing for Norah. She wore my blessing dress and looked girlier than she has in her entire life. I loved having family and friends around to love on our baby girl, and as a bonus Ashley made some awesome treats for afterward. Chocolate chip cookies and babies in giant dresses? I'm in.

We moved, as mentioned. On Valentine's Day. And luckily we have awesome friends who didn't mind spending the first half of their holiday hauling boxes.

We found out our old apartment is creepy as hell when empty of our possessions. We had a two week overlap between leases, so we made several trips back to the old place to get the rest of our stuff and clean. Every time I was scared to unlock the door. I think the problem was mostly that it was a dark basement apartment, and since we left some stuff behind in the interim it looked like it had been hastily abandoned.

Norah and I ventured to Malad and we hung out with family, and tried a taco place I hadn't been to before and missed Brian's face.

We made the terrible decision of taking Norah to a hockey game. There was a bullhorn every time the U scored and she was not having it. She got used to it after a few goals, but it still felt like a #parentingfailure.

Norah learned to roll over AND sit up which made Brian and I shake our fists at the gods and ask whyyyy why is she growing up so fast??

Getting a snack in on her blessing day.

I love getting these happy pictures from Jeorgi.
Taking a very serious Target selfie. Also that seat isn't great.

This baby takes at least one nap on me on non-working days. I loves it.
The weather was unseasonably awesome, so we went on some Liberty Park walks.
Photo adventuring. As per usual.
Jeorgi has a bouncer. Norah loves the bouncer.
On moving day Brittany watched Norah Bee and Grant inspected her feet.
Happy about a day home with Brian.
This onesie looks like a muscle tee. Dying.
The cats seem to enjoy the views in our new apartment.
This is her "why did you fools bring me to a hockey game" face.

Moving always makes me nostalgic. Last shot of our old apartment, in the creepiest hallway ever.
Hanging out with Janiece one last time before she left for the Peace Corps. I don't want to talk about it.
Watch out cats! Norah can sit up now.
